Overview: 
The Pet Services Attendant is responsible for the care and safety of the dogs on campus, and for delivering services as selected by pet parents. This role requires a love of dogs, patience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to upholding company policies and procedures. The Pet Services Attendant will report directly to the Pet Services Manager. Pay is hourly and will be based on experience. 

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with dogs in our Daycare and Boarding facility, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor playgroups to ensure safe and positive interactions among dogs, intervening when necessary to prevent any aggressive or unsafe behavior.
  • Water, feed, and clean up after dogs, following specific dietary instructions and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility, including lobby, common spaces, and storage areas.
  • Ensure accurate usage of PetExec & Slack software for seamless communication between departments and accurate data management.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including disinfecting play yards, and holding areas, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:
 
  • Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and basic care requirements, or a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels with patience and confidence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with pet owners and team members.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as our facility operates during extended hours.
  • Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred.
