Overview
We are looking for a Pet Services Manager to join our growing team. The Pet Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the back-of-house operations of the Daycare and Boarding departments, ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals, maintaining cleanliness, conducting behavioral assessments, and managing a team of dedicated staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of canine behavior, and a commitment to upholding company policies and procedures. The Pet Services Manager will report directly to the Assistant Campus Director and will have opportunities for career advancement within our rapidly growing company.

Pay is hourly and will be based on experience. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and manage pet services staff in alignment with role responsibilities and GoDog core values
  • Act as a working Manager on the floor, responsible for the following:
    • Feeding
    • Administering Medication
    • General health and behavioral assessments
    • Moving dogs safely about the campus
    • Bathing dogs
    • Cleaning
  • Train employees on GoDog policies and procedures
  • Manage daily Pet Services operations, including, but not limited to running dogs, managing scheduled services, facility cleaning, and managing staff assignments and daily duties
  • Delegate and assign daily/weekly/monthly task among attendants
  • Assist in implementation of policies and procedures as dictated by the Campus Director
  • Assess animal behavior to qualify dogs for GoDog services, including Care Assessments and evaluating New Pet Questionnaires
  • Manage compliance with safety regulations and dog and human first aid certifications
  • Act as Manager on duty when Campus Director and Assistant Campus Director are not present
  • Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as all holidays as these are our busiest times 
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • 2 years professional animal care
  • 1 year previous management experience
  • Ability to lead with kindness, compassion, humility, and an even-keeled demeanor since dogs pick up on human energy
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to educate pet parents on dog behavior and care
  • Proven work ethic, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Ability to positively interact with the animals that GoDog services
  • Ability to regularly move throughout the facility to continuously interact with pets, customers, and staff using physical and mental stamina
  • Ability to clean up bodily fluids without becoming squeamish
  • Capability to competently complete the tasks required of any employee
  • Pet First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Willing to undergo a background check
